Fourth of July Concert

It’s not Independence Day without the annual Fourth of July concert by the Longmont Chorale! The chorale is a community choir that loves to share the joy of singing. You can see them at the Longmont Symphony Orchestra’s Concert in the Park on July 4, or beat the heat and enjoy an indoor celebration on July 1 at Westview Presbyterian Church in Longmont. Candlelight Dinner PlayhouseYou’ve seen the movie. Now see the live performance of Man Of La Mancha, through June 17. Candlelight Dinner Playhouse brings the story to life, with skillful portrayals of Don Quixote and his quest for the impossible dream. Your ticket feeds your body and soul, with a complete dinner before each performance. Enjoy fresh baked bread, dinner salad or soup du jour. Then you choose a delicious entrée. Each menu is carefully tailored to your performance. The Theater Learning Center hosts acting summer camps for kids, too. The elementary school session starts in June, and middle and high school starts in July. Each concludes with a public performance. Are you tired of the usual entertainment? Forget TV, forget the movies. Try something new: live chorale music. The Longmont Chorale is a citizen’s choir and operates as a nonprofit group. They share the joy of singing with each other, and with the community. The Chorale has presented singing programs since the 1930s, and is open to anyone who can sing a few simple exercises. Members say that singing with the group is simply uplifting. The Longmont Chorale joins the Longmont Symphony Orchestra for the July 4 Concert in the Park. Come on out for a great musical evening.
